News about construction and relocation
The Jewish Museum of Switzerland is moving into a new, large building at the Vesalgasse 5 in 4051 Basel. The new location offers around 750 m² of space for permanent and temporary exhibitions, workshops and event rooms, a library and offices.
The museum at Kornhausgasse 8 will be closed from May 5. Anyone who would like to visit the old permanent exhibition of the Jewish Museum once again is cordially invited to do so. Admission is free due to the preparations for the move.
